PubSpy found the outside terrace beer garden is the life of the hotel, with its alfresco setting, manicured courtyard gardens and tantalising glimpses of the world's most loved harbour! A place where anyone can enjoy a refreshing drink, a chat with friends, a sumptuous meal or just kickback and watch the world go past. The large main bar takes pride with its extensive range of local and boutique beers, a huge selection of wines. Finalists in the 2014, 2017 AHA NSW Awards for Excellence For Best Casual Dining, Best Steak Sandwich, Best Steak and Best Burger. Highly recommended.

Pubspy discovered Commodore Hotel gives no indication of it's connection with colonial Sydney. John Blue was granted a new license for a two-storey sandstone pub, known as the Old Commodore Inn. He named his pub after his father, Billy Blue, a freed American slave, better known to all as ‘The Old Commodore’. Billy Blue was a well-known identity in Colonial Sydney. Blue’s Point was named in his honour after he was given a land grant there, on the condition he run a ferry across the harbour. The current Commodore Hotel is the third on the site
